Scott McTominay, Kieran Tierney and Che Adams return to the Scotland squad for the remaining Nations League matches, at home to North Macedonia and away to Switzerland. McTominay missed games for club and country in September and October after a minor heart procedure.
James Penrice earns his first call-up, while Kristi Montgomery, a late addition last time, keeps his place without having won a cap.
Injuries and omissions
Scott McKenna and Kenny McLean miss out through injury. Lennon Miller, Josh Doig, Colby Donovan and James Wilson drop out of the squad.
Head coach Sebastien Pocognoli named an extended pool of 28 for the first four matches, which included disappointing home defeats to Switzerland and Slovenia. For these fixtures, the Belgian has selected 26 players, including four goalkeepers.
The Group B1 picture
Scotland sit third in Group B1 and need a minimum of four points to have any chance of finishing second and reaching the promotion play-offs. One point would remove any threat of relegation.
Switzerland lead the group on maximum points, with Slovenia three points ahead of Scotland.
Form of the returning and new players
Penrice, 27, has impressed with Rangers since arriving on loan from AEK Athens. Montgomery, 22, has started all but one Championship match for Blackburn Rovers this season.
McTominay has scored four goals in seven outings since recovering from his heart procedure. Adams has doubled his Torino tally for the season, scoring two goals in five Serie A games since returning from a brief lay-off with an adductor issue.
Robertson’s milestone
Captain Andy Robertson will surpass Sir Kenny Dalglish’s record of 102 caps if the Tottenham full-back features in both matches, on 13 and 16 November.
