Vincent Kompany was taken to hospital by ambulance in Munich after he collapsed during Bayern Munich‘s training session at Säbener Straße on Friday. A rescue helicopter landed at the training ground to take him to the hospital immediately, according to Sky Sports.
The Belgian missed the pre-match press conference ahead of the Champions League clash with Arsenal, but he led his team from the dugout as normal. He had also sat through the full 90 minutes of the match against RB Leipzig.
Sky Sports added that Kompany had already felt pain in his legs before the Arsenal game. He was suffering from a virus and the hip problems that followed from it.
